Our Purpose:

Our purpose is to help as many people as possible to achieve the degree of health that they should have without the use of drugs and surgery. It is our purpose as well to educate as many people as possible of the existence of Oriental Medicine and its capabilities to help in a wide range of diseases even in chronic cases where the degree of success has been found remarkable.

Alejandro Fernandez L. Ac. MSOM ,  NMD-
Director

Alejandro is a practitioner who has been involved with Eastern Medicine since 1994, and periodically substitutes as an instructor for the faculty of the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine.

He has a MS in Oriental Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine and he is a Naturopathy Medical Doctor (NMD).

He has done an internship at Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, has taught Kampo and Sooji seminars in Pennsylvania and Chicago Medical School, and is a member of the American Association

of Oriental Medicine , NCCAOM , Illinois State Acupuncture Association,and the American Herbalist Guild. He has delivered training in more than 10 countries and in 3 different languages.

Currently Alejandro is doing extensive research in Infertility, women issues and ADD/ADHD using

acupuncture, herbs, NMT, tuina, nutrition and counceling.


Kelsey Fernandez     L. Ac. MSOM, NMD - Owner

Kelsey holds a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. She is licensed by the state of Illinois for

acupuncture and certified by the National Commission for the Certification of

Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is a member of the AOM Alliance,

American Herbalist Guild, and AAOM (American Association of Oriental Medicine). She

implements many healing modalities into her practice including acupuncture, Tui Na,

herbalism and EFT (emotional freedom technique).She is actively giving seminars on

various health topics in and around the Chicago area. Currently she is doing extensive

research on infertility and pediatric disorders such as low immunity, ADD (attention

deficit disorder) and behavioral problems. Kelsey is practicing in  River

Rebecca Balyeat      L. Ac. MSOM, C.C.T.

A licensed acupuncturist and Certified Clinical Thermographer, Rebecca is a graduate of Midwest College of Oriental Medicine and holds a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition.  She also holds a bachelor of Arts in Sociology.  She is licensed by the state of Illinois for acupuncture and certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).  She is also a proffessional member of the American Association of Oriental Medicine (AAOM) and  ILAOM.  Rebecca specializes in fertility, women's health and digestive disorders. She uses a variety of modalities in the course of treament including acupuncture, herbs, thermography, nutrition, sooji, moxibustion, and tui na. 
  
 
Gail Zarbin L.C.S.W.

 

Gail Zarbin, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, has been in private practice for over twenty years counseling individuals, couples, and children to help them with many of life’s complications. Gail is dedicated to assisting people to improve and make changes in their lives. Her style is to be interactive, responsive, and non-threatening and to provide a safe place for growth and change. Her approach to counseling is tailored to meet each client’s needs. Counseling can be goal focused to learn tools, to change patterns, to develop solutions, to improve communication, or to parent more effectively. Counseling will help you explore your feelings so you can heal and move forward from life’s transitions and adjustments; whether it is from infertility, infidelity, divorce, or grief and loss. Gail has a broad range of experience working with individual and couples going through the challenges of infertility to help them with the emotional ups and downs and family planning choices. Gail is a consultant to teachers at several private schools and can assist you with the IEP process in public schools. Gail presents a series of seminars on topics to, “Increase Your Skills To Parent Your Child.” Parenting a child who has ADD, ADHD, or is twice-exceptional can be challenging. Gail offers parent coaching that will teach you the tools to improve family and sibling relationships, increase cooperation, and set limits without arguments.
